Dear colleagues

As most of you know, I am working at establishing a open education platform with some of my partners. A few years ago, my father had the vision to promote Kokstad as an educational hub with the establishment of a Education Trust which would pay teachers at all local schools better salaries as well as put more teachers in each local school, and fund teacher training. The hope was that Kokstad will in time become a more attractive place to teach thereby attract better teachers to the area and increase skills transfer, as well as keep kids local thereby keeping the economy local as well. I am sure that if structured and marketed correctly it can mostly be funded by business tax, up to 10% of which is allocable to charities and would be happy to elaborate in more detail! But having said this, I would like to request that as Part of the Integrated Sustainable Development Plan (ISDP), we promote the idea of turning Kokstad into an Education HUB of excellence! There are many other ways to achieve this ! The Nature of education is also changing rapidly and I feel it is vital to follow and promote the trends we wish to see in the world, particularly in the development of the youth who will live and co-create our future!

If What I am saying interests you - Please take the time to watch the following videos to get a sense of some of the stories/examples I am referring to (or you can come and get them from me via DVD)! Please also keep in mind the following question when you watch! “How do we improve accessibility for everyone?”
