Looking back /starting learning Wiki-ing

On Saturday 23rd we had a free day and today (27th) Barry and I (PamelaMcLean) are doing practical work about the free day to learn to use the wiki. (We think we put <br>
to get a new line)..so we have done that and now we will save.

Now we are trying to learn to add a photo. Markus has shown us a great photo on the Ning - of him with his birth tree. We will try to add it below (but this is the link to it on the Ning http://videobridge.ning.com/photo/betula-et-homo?xg_source=activity).

When we saw the photo we clicked on it and it appeared on the screen all by itself, and then we copied the url. We inserted that url, hoping we'd get the image below, but we just got this url.

Franz: but take the last "rotate" statement out so that the URL ends with JPG the problem, no its not solved but gets a new form

Steve understands why this url is a problem - he is going to show us how uploading a photo works with a different photo grabbed from the workshop.

I've seen one with Barry and me (from one of our evening meals) so I'll try that one.

In order to do that we had to go to a site that had this photo in it. The site was http://tvcm.co.uk/vienna/picture-gallery/. We chose the photo, then we right clicked on it, and opened it in a new tab. This gave us the “proper” url that we could use. We copied and pasted it and got a huge photo – next we need to learn how to make it smaller.
Julja is also adding content now. She is way ahead of Barry and me. I may stop writing this account if I find I am holding her up as we cannot both be on this page editing at the same time.

1. - We went to the Opera (Figaro. Wonderful).
2. - We were practicing our information capturing skills (stills and video).
3. - Practical realities - it is forbidden to do video during the actual performance.
