Elaine will come to Dublin to study with us and help us disseminate mainly the motivation part of the MIR agenda.

  • Mediator
  • Born in Nebraska in 1957, grew up in New York city, re-emigration of the family to Norway 1970,
  • studies at the University of Vienna from 1981 – 1986, majoring in ethnology and social anthropology, minors: African and third world studies. Field studies in Zaire (Bondo) 1986.
  • Has been professionally active in the field of job-related training schemes in Vienna since 1988. The activities have covered curriculum development, organisation, train-the-trainer measures as well as teaching, training and individual coaching. Specialisation: Integrative work with focus on gender, culture and socially disadvantaged groups.
  • Has for the last 25 years also served as interpreter on call for the Norwegian Embassy and for Austrian political institutions in Vienna.
  • Has further specialized in translation of judicial and sociological texts.
  • Is at present doing her master studies in mediation.
  • Is currently also engaged in a study group around Franz Nahrada to test the potential of a local new work project in a neighbourhood in Vienna
  • Is married, has a 9 week old dog and enjoys reading, and music.
