Everbody has arrived safely, big relief! We had a nice welcome and introduction time. Almost everybody has brought some sweets or snacks, so besides the dinner provided there is a lot we can chew on.

ErnstGruber comes and visits us every day and produces a short Video clip. Here is the first one....

  • Introduction
  • Franz Nahrada as host
  • Tara Lugmayr as interviewer
      • AndriusKulikauskas (Lithuania) expresses his interest in the practical side: "how can we work with video efficiently"?
      • Laura Pakalne (Latvia) describes the background of her coming to the workshop as the PR specialist of the Ministry of Justice. "Wow can we make it easy to understand for society".
      • JakubStaniewicz from Krakow, Poland, is interested in new ways of learning and teaching
      • Barry Hunt (England) describes himself as learner who is active as major of a local community and wants to apply the things learned.
Laszlo Pitlik from the agricultural University of Gödölö could not come but he sent us a statement from Hungary: http://miau.gau.hu/tki/ssl1.docx

My arrival

Marina
*Vienna Airport:
How comforting! A taxi had been arranged to take me to the hotel Karolinenhof. It was getting dark and I could hardly see where I was going. Everything around was covered in snow which in my mind was associated with the Alps. So, yes, I was in Austria.

*At the hotel:
I reached the hotel full of anticipation. Some had already arrived and seemed to have known each other. I had a warm welcome and then FranzNahrada showed us to the rooms we would use for our group work and plenary meetings the following days.He seemed to me very well organized and considerate as he had cared for all possible needs.
The tranquility of the snowed night outside and the warmth of the hosts and the hotel inside were both a relief to any anxiety that the unknown may bring up and a promising start to the days to follow.
