 http://creately.com is another site that allows online creation and collaborative editing of diagrams. Collaboration is free, larger spaces and groups need a paid account (5$ or 10$ per month). One account is suffient to support many users as long as someone is willing to create and disseminte stub diagrams that all others can work on.

BTW it seems that they use pretty much the same software core like mindmeister. They have the same system of email-centered collaboration and non-organization of community and a similar unintutive property sidebar.
The advantage is that you have much more freedom in creating diagrams compared to the restrictions of mind-mapping. The interface looks very good but there are some flaws and it feels still a bit like a "beta". For example, the left box should link to dorfwiki.org, but does so only in the interface, not as the embedded flash application. It should also show an edit-button for invited collaborators, but doesn't. Still: high potential. Maybe needs just a few months to ripen a bit. -- HelmutLeitner 8. Dezember 2009 18:39 CET
