LilianaHimeldaMuñozVillar:

This is the general idea about the topic of the conference: To benchmark the different conditions in: 1. Knowledge conservation by inculturated curricula 2. Soft and socially embedded enlargements of knowledge base 3. Know-How transfer in that case from a Vavilov center (crop biosphere area) into a non-crop biosphere area.

-For high mountain conditions do there exist certain primordial specificities that have high influence on development, what are these? How can the conceptions of high Andean development yield advantages for intermontane valleys (Mantaro-Vally in Peru, Intermontane Valleys in the Alps?)
Within agro-ecological zoning, at what should be its strong features to do that. Discuss briefly each of them through examples.Do we have strategies for agro-ecological zoning and complimentarity in the Alps?
Describe concisely and discuss briefly the characteristics of high-Andean agriculture with show-casesDescribe concisely and discuss briefly the characteristics of Alpine agriculture with show-cases
Discuss the pros and cons of in-situ conservation of maize (choclo) and tarwi (lupinus mutabilis) from the nutritional point of view taking into account the fact that Peru has traditional knowledge bases concerning these cropsThis is the great difference, as the Alps have no Vavilov center. Therefore new technologies and strategies are to be expected by cooperation concerning sustainable ways of life in a biosphere region
