The Telecentre-Europe Summit 2009 will take place from 14 to 15 of October in Istanbul, Turkey and will bring together up to 120 telecentre networks’ leaders and executives. The event will be managed by the Telecentre-Europe Steering Committee and Youth for Habitat, and has been kindly sponsored by Microsoft and the Turkish Government. The Summit will continue the success of the Telecentre Leaders Forum, held in Riga in April 2008.
Looking forward, Gaining Ground 2010 in Vancouver, provisionally titled Regenerative Cities or, possibly, Resilient Cities North America is already in the planning stage as a ‘conference of conferences’ (dates and venue to be announced); and we will also be developing a unique sustainability learning portal and working hard on the goal of establishing Vancouver as the North American transaction hub for urban sustainability, green innovation and the green economy.
