GRUNDTVIG is the European Unions program for fostering adult education. Grundtvig WORKSHOPS are a new action, for the first time tried in 2009/2010, modelled along the Scandinavian tradition of "learning circles", where learners contribute a lot to the learning process. A Grundtvig Workshop is indeed a method of 'self - learning supported and catalyzed by a host institution with some experience in the field.
With the support of the European Unions life-long learning programm we (Globally Integrated Village Environment Lab GIVE ) can offer a group of about 20 learners (16 from elegible countries [1], 4 from Austria) to participate in a Grundtvig Workshop on connected learning communities by video bridges.
The Workshop took place in Vienna in January 2010. We chose 16 innovators and thinkers from all over Europe + 4 Austrians to look into the possibilities of connecting learning communities especially in disadvantaged areas, using broadband video.
There are ongoing follow - up activities. If you are interested please contact f.nahrada(AT)reflex.at
